During my very first wine course in 2010, I discovered that I enjoy learning everything about wine and wine making about as much as drinking wine. Ever since, I look for those special wine experiences and I try to learn something from each glass of wine I drink. With the WSET4 diploma as my next target, I seek out wine tasting groups that explore ‘unconventional’ wine regions. The Netherlands is one of those unconventional regions. I started out as a skeptic, but I have since discovered many interesting wines from our own country.
