TASTING NOTE

Met Liefde 2018

white wine

Our rating

8.5 /10
A remarkably good and fine wine. Very well balanced, full of aromas and good in acidity with a pleasant ending. The wine has a very attractive bouquet of primary, secondary and tertiary aromas of apricot, honey, dried apricots and figs, cedar, vanilla, butter, brioche and some herbs. We taste nectarine, apricot, yellow tropical fruits combined with butterscotch, vanilla, cedar and a small almond bitter in the finish; typical flavours of 6 months ripening on oak. As the name indicates: It is made with love!

The wine has a clean nose, it is developing with a medium+ aroma intensity. Primary aromas of stone fruit, secondary aroma characteristics of yeast and oak and tertiary aromas of white fruit development. This is a very good wine; ready to drink now, can improve by further ageing but don’t keep it longer than 2 to 3 years. A remarkably good and fine wine. Very well balanced, full of aromas and good in acidity with a pleasant ending.
