This wine shows a considerable difference between smell and taste. Characteristics of the nose are fruity, floral and herbaceous with scents of sweet cherries on juice, vanilla, allspice, and eucalyptus. In the mouth however, the character is green and graphite-like. We taste green bell pepper, cedar wood, mouth-drying tea and bay leaf. The wine has a good body and flavor intensity. In case you want to open it now: it is a real food wine. We recommend to combine it with a good steak, goulash or boeuf bourguignon so that the tannins are somewhat softened. If you can wait for a while: we advise to keep it at least for another two years to develop, so that flavors become more integrated. After 12 months on American oak, the wine needs some time to age.

Appearance
A clear, ruby-colored wine with medium color intensity and some legs visible on the glass.
Nose
The wine has a clean nose, with medium aroma intensity and youthful development. The aromas have a fruity, floral and herbaceous character. We smell sweet cherries on juice, vanilla, allspice, various spices and eucalyptus.
Palate
A dry wine with medium acidity and medium alcohol (13%). The wine has a good body (medium+) and dito medium+ flavor intensity. It has medium tannins and a finish of medium length. The palate of the wine shows green, graphite-like characteristics. We taste green bell pepper, cedar wood, mouth-drying tea and bay leaf.
Quality Assessment
We consider this a good wine, but it is too young. We advise to keep it at least for another two years to develop to integrate flavors more with each other and to soften the hard edges of the oak and integrate it with the rest of the wine. This is a real food wine. We recommend to combine it with a good steak, goulash or boeuf bourguignon so that the tannins are somewhat softened.
