Kleine Prins 2016

Kleine Prins (Dutch for ‘Little Prince’) is a quite aromatic wine with scents of yellow fruits, vegetables and herbs. We also taste a lot of yellow, ripe fruit in the flavor palate, which is combined with an elegant minerality. The wine is nicely balanced and has a very delicate mousse.

Appearance
A clear, lemon colored wine with a pale color intensity and light bubbles in the glass.
Nose
The wine has a clean, youthful nose, with a medium+ aroma intensity of yellow fruits, vegetables and herbs. We smell specified scents of pineapple, apple, pear, gooseberry, dried grass and a hint of ‘potpourri’ dried flowers.
Palate
Kleine Prins is a dry wine, with medium to medium+ acidity, medium- alcohol, a medium body and a delicate, soft mousse. The wine has a medium flavor intensity and shows a nice combination of mineral and yellow fruits in its palate. We taste flavors of ripe yellow apple, citrus, gooseberry and elderflower. After the fruit, we taste the steely minerality. De wine has a finish of medium length.
Quality Assessment
Kleine Prins is a good wine. It is ready to drink now but not suitable for further ageing. The wine has a very delicate mousse, which unfortunately disappears quite quickly. The wine is nicely balanced and has lot of fruitiness.
