The wine has a clean nose, with medium(+) aroma intensity and youthful development. The aromas show characteristics of red fruit and herbs. We smell black currant, red cherries and hints of white pepper, thyme, mint and cedar wood.
A dry wine medium acidity and medium alcohol (12.5%). The wine is medium bodied, has a medium flavour intensity but is low in tannin. The mousse is nice and creamy and the finish is of medium+ length. The palate of the wine shows characteristics of dark red fruit, herbs and wood ageing. We taste flavors of black currants, black cherries, bay leaf and black pepper. The wine has some leather on the tongue.
For the real connoisseurs: the wine tastes like a good, expensive Lambrusco, not the cheap but the real stuff. Instead of real bubbles, the wine has more of a tingling on the tongue. A good wine, ready to drink now, not suitable for further ageing.
