The wine has a clean, developing nose, with a medium+ aroma intensity which is mainly green and mineral in its character. We smell melon, fresh sauerkraut, asparagus, flint and wet pebbles.
A dry wine, with medium acidity, medium alcohol, and a medium body. The wine has a medium flavor intensity of citrus fruit, yellow fruits, minerality and dairy. The wine has flavors of lemon, apple, pear, gooseberry, flint, a pinch of white pepper, basil, and a hint of bitterness. The finish is of medium length.
The pinot gris is a good to very good wine, ready to drink now but will not further improve with ageing. The wine shows an interesting complexity and is quite exciting. The wine has had one week of skin contact, which gives it a different character than regular pinot gris wines. It is more complex and shows a different aroma palate.
