Ophrys Brut Classique 2017

Ophrys is een zeer fruitige mousserende wijn. We ruiken en proeven veel citrus-, steen- en tropisch fruit. Vooral de geur en smaak van verse ananas is opmerkelijk. Naast de fruitigheid heeft de wijn wat zachte gisttonen en op het einde een klein bittertje. De afdronk is aangenaam. Een zeer goede wijn, mooi in balans en met veel fruit.

Appearance
A clear, lemon colored wine with a pale color intensity and petillance in the glass
Nose
The wine has a clean, youthful nose, with a medium+ aroma intensity of citrus fruits, stonefruit and tropical fruits and secondary aromas of yeast. We smell a lot of pineapple, together with apples, apricot, oranges, carambola, and lemon.
Palate
This is a dry wine, with medium acidity, medium alcohol, a medium body and a creamy mousse. The wine has a medium+ flavor intensity. We taste a rich palate of tropical and citrus fruits: pineapple, orange peel and lemon. After the fruitiness, we taste some buttery tones of yeast and a small bitter in the finish. De wine has a finish of medium length.
Quality Assessment
Ophrys Brut Classique is a good to very good wine. Ready to drink now and will not improve by further ageing. The wine is nicely balanced and has lot of fruitiness.
