De Cuvee Signature heeft goed geïntegreerde aroma’s en een zeer breed aromapalet. We ruiken bosvruchten en kenmerken van specerijen en kruiden. De wijn heeft een rijk smaakpalet met kenmerken van bosvruchten, kruiden en eikenhout. De afdronk wordt enigszins gedomineerd door de smaak van cederhout, door 12 maanden rijping op (deels) nieuwe barriques. Dit geeft aan dat de wijn nog jong is en bij verdere oudering zal verbeteren. We verwachten dat er dan meer tertiaire aroma’s zullen ontstaan. We raden aan om de wijn voor het drinken te decanteren of enkele uren voor het drinken te openen. Of om hem nog een jaar te bewaren.

Appearance
A clear, purple colored wine with a deep color intensity. Some legs are visible on the glass.
Nose
The wine has a clean, developing nose with a medium+ aroma intensity of forest fruits and characteristics of spices and herbs. We smell aromas of blackcurrants, blackberries, cedarwood, chocolate, pine resin, eucalyptus and some hints of black olives.
Palate
A dry wine, with medium+ alcohol, medium acidity and medium+ tannins. The wine is medium+ bodied with a medium+ flavor intensity. We taste a broad palate of forest fruits, herbaceous and oak characteristics with specified flavours of blackcurrant, blackberries, juniper, rosemary, liquorice, eucalyptus and pine. The wine has a finish of medium+ length which is somewhat dominated by the taste of cedarwood.
Quality Assessment
This is a very good wine. The wine has well integrated aromas and a very broad aroma palate. The finish is somewhat dominated by cedarwood, which indicates that the wine is still young and will improve by further ageing. You can drink it now, however we recommend to decant the wine before drinking or open it a few hours before drinking.
