My passion and enthusiasm for wine goes back many years. I have taken several wine courses (SDEN level 2, SDEN level 3 and WSET level 3). I mainly specialized in Italian wines and I have since visited many vineyards throughout Italy during my vacations. I became a member of the The Hague Municipal Vineyard in 2017 to learn more about the wine making process.

My passion for hospitality, food and beverages has been fueled by my professional experiences in the food service industry. Since 2001, I have been active in various roles in the wine industry and since 2018 I have additionally been involved in the Hague Municipal Vineyard. In my own company, Juicefull, I connect people, locations and products.

After being an avid wine enthusiast for many years, I decided to become a full-time wine professional in 2016. With Joie de Vin, I personally select and import bio-friendly French wines that are typical of their respective regions. In the past 10 years I have followed various wine educations and in 2017 I became a registered viticulturist (Wijnacademie). I am currently studying the specific regulations surrounding biological and biodynamic wines.

A few years ago I obtained my WSET level 2 diploma. Since then, I am very enthusiastic about tasting wine. Courses are generally directed at the bigger wine regions, but as I’ve lived in Slovenia in 2017 and 2018, I’ve been able to explore that region as well. Now I’m very excited to see what the Netherlands have to offer!

I have over 10 years of professional experience in wine retail. I currently work as an independent wine consultant through my brand Wijnsnob. During this time, I reached WSET level 3 and I am currently studying to graduate to level 4. In 2011, I completed the well known wine-food pairing education taught by Peter Klosse.

I was bitten by the ‘wine bug’ in the ’90s and since 2009 I am a registered viticulturist (Wijnacademie). At Provinto, I am always on the lookout for new, interesting wines to match the personal tastes of my clients. I also advise wine retailers about their portfolios and I organise wine tasting events. I am a member of several wine tasting panels.
