Thorn Riesling 2020

A dry Riesling with a firm character. In the nose, we have aromas of citrus, apple compote and melon. The wine is a however lot sweeter in the nose than in the mouth. The flavor palate is made up of lemon, green apple, mandarin, pear and some citrus bitterness. Good to combine with an oyster platter or fruit de mer.

Appearance
A clear, lemon-gold colored wine with medium- color intensity.
Nose
The wine has a clean, youthful nose of medium+ aroma intensity with fruity and floral characteristics. We smell aromas of citrus fruit (lemons), red apple, apple compote, honey, melon and some hints of fresh green grass.
Palate
It is a dry wine with a medium level of alcohol and a high level of acidity, medium body and medium+ flavor intensity. We taste lemon, green apple, mandarin, pear and some citrus bitterness. The wine has a medium aftertaste.
Quality Assessment
It is a good wine but with a rather high level of acidity, so the wine is a lot sweeter in the nose than in the mouth. Because the level of fruit is not very high, we don’t expect that the wine will increase by further ageing.
