TASTING NOTE

Twentewijn, Sueterie Sprankel Brut 2019

sparkling wine

Our rating

7.5 /10
Just after pouring, the wine is slightly closed with somewhat unripe fruity and herbaceous characteristics. However, after 10 minutes in the glass, many more fruity flavors are released, and we experience a beautiful structure in the glass, and flavors of citrus, green fruits and small bitterness in the aftertaste .

Detailed Tasting Notes

Wine tasting: 9 Aug 2022
Appearance
A clear, lemon-green colored wine with a pale intensity and clearly visible petillance in the glass
Nose
The wine has a clean, youthful nose, with a medium+ aroma intensity with characteristics of yellow fruit, citrus, floral tones and lie. We smell lemon, lime, granny smith apple and pear.
Palate
A dry wine, with high acidity, medium alcohol, a medium+ body and a creamy mousse. The wine has a medium flavor intensity. The palate shows fruity and herbaceous characteristics. We taste flavors of lemon, pear, green apple, some red currants, sweet green herbs like basil and a small bitterness in the aftertaste. The finish is medium in length.
Quality Assessment
A good wine, the flavors and acids are well integrated. Just after pouring the wine is slightly closed but it opens after 10 minutes in the glass. Then many more fruity flavors are released, and we experience a beautiful structure in the glass. Ready to drink now but will improve with some ageing.
