De wijn heeft een beetje een groen karakter. We proeven rood fruit en kruidige smaken zoals zoethout, rozemarijn en zwarte bes en de uitgesproken rokerige smaak van eikenhout. We raden aan om de wijn te decanteren, dit komt de smaak zeker ten goede. Na enige tijd geopend te zijn geweest, heeft de wijn nog wel groene tonen van bitterheid en groene peper, maar de eikenachtige smaken zijn minder uitgesproken. We vermoeden dat de druiven te groen zijn geplukt en nog niet tot volledige rijpheid zijn gekomen

Appearance
A clear, purple colored wine with a deep color intensity.
Nose
The wine has a clean nose, it is youthful with a medium+ aroma intensity. We smell forest fruits and vegetal and herbaceous aromas of dried prunes, forest fruit, oak, blackcurrant, liquorice and some more vegetal aromas of green bellpepper and black olives.
Palate
A dry wine, with medium alcohol, medium+ acidity and medium+ tannins. The wine is medium-bodied with a medium flavour intensity. We taste red fruits and herbaceuous flavours like liquorice, rosemary and blackcurrent and pronounced smokey flavours of oak.
Quality Assessment
A good wine. It is ready to drink now but can improve. The wine has a green character. We recommend decanting the wine, this will certainly improve the taste. After being opened for some time, the wine still has green notes of bitterness and green pepper but the oaky flavours are less pronounced. It appears that the grapes have been picked too green and have not developed full maturity.
