TASTING NOTE

Blanc de Gris 2019

orange wine

Our rating

8 /10
The wine has pleasant aromas and flavours of yellow fruits and flowers. However, we doubt whether this wine can be called an Orange wine, given the very light color and scent and taste palate of yellow fruit and flowers. We would rather call it a nice white wine. To conclude, this is a good and well-made wine with a lot of fruit and nice acidity.

A clear, lemon-green colored wine with medium-color intensity.
Nose
The wine has a clean, youthful nose, with a medium+ aroma intensity of sweet stone fruits and flowers. We smell aromas of nectarine, elderflower and galia melon.

This orange wine is dry, with medium acidity and medium alcohol. It is medium- bodied with a medium flavour intensity of with of citrus, flowers and yellow fruit. We taste lime, elderflower, gooseberries, yellow apple and pear. The aftertaste is of medium length.

This is a good and well-made wine with a lot of fruit and nice acidity. However, we doubt whether this wine can be called an Orange wine, given the very light color and scent and taste palate of yellow fruit and flowers. We would rather conclude it is a nice white wine.
