TASTING NOTE

Cabernet Cantor 2018

red wine

Our rating

8.5 /10
Both in the nose and in the mouth, we experience a combination of primary and secondary aromas. With flavors of cranberries and strawberries, we taste red fruits and dried fruits in combination with rustic flavors of leather, stable and tobacco. The panel was impressed! The wine reminded us of Sangiovese and has a particularly good price/quality ratio. Compliments to the winemaker!

Detailed Tasting Notes

Wine tasting: 3 Sep 2020
Appearance
A clear, ruby-colored wine with a medium- color intensity. Some legs are visible on the glass.
Nose
The wine has a clean nose, it is developing with a medium+ aroma intensity with aromas of red fruits and dried fruits like cherries, cranberries, violet and figs, adjusted by clear secondary aromas of stables, leather, some rubber and a little chemical hint.
Palate
A dry wine, with medium alcohol and medium tannins. With a medium+ it is quite high in its acidity. The wine is medium bodied with a medium+ flavor intensity. Also in the mouth, we have a combination of primary and secondary aromas. We taste red fruits and dried fruits with flavors of cranberries and strawberries in combination with rustic flavors of leather, stables, tobacco and again a light chemical tone. The wine has an ending of medium length.
Quality Assessment
A very good wine. You can drink it now but it can improve with ageing. We expect the different flavors to become better integrated after some ageing. The panel was impressed. The wine reminded us of Sangiovese and has a very good price/quality ratio. Compliments to the winemaker!
