Hoeve Nekum Riesling 2016
white wine
Although the wine is already 4 years old, the aromas and flavors of developed wines are not really present. In the nose, the wine shows fine aromas of apple, elder flower, mango, grapefruit, melon, combined with some light mineral tones. But the taste is really a glass full of ripe, yellow fruits. We taste flavours of mandarin, mango, passion fruit and elder flower. The wine has a very nice balance and beautiful, soft acids where sweet and sour are well integrated. A beautiful, full Riesling!

Appearance
A clear, lemon colored wine with medium- color intensity.
Nose
The wine has a clean, developing nose. The wine has a delicate, medium+ aroma intensity of ripe yellow fruit, citrus and flowers. We smell fine aromas of apple, elder flower, mango, grapefruit, melon, combined with some light mineral tones.
Palate
It is a dry wine with a medium level of alcohol (12.5%) and a medium + level of acidity. With a medium+ flavour intensity and medium+ body this wine is a glass full of ripe fruits. We taste citrus, yellow fruit and blossom. Flavours of mandarin, mango, passion fruit and elder flower dominate the taste of the wine. The wine offers a pleasant, medium + aftertaste.
Quality Assessment
It is a good to very good wine. Although the wine is already 4 years old, the aromas and flavors of developed wines are not really present. In the nose, the wine is more floral, but the taste really offers a lot of fruit. Therefore, it is expected that the wine will not develop much further. The wine has a very nice balance and beautiful, soft acids, sweet and sour are well integrated. A beautiful, full Riesling!
