TASTING NOTE

Josefien 2017

white wine

Our rating

8 /10
This is a beautiful and enjoyable wine. Josefien is a sweet girl! A lot of yellow fruits jump out of that glass! We smell aromas of peach, mango, nectarines, honey and vanilla. Due to all the fruit, one would doubt whether the wine isn’t even off- dry but that is not the case. Besides a lot of fruit, the wine has some vegetal nuances in its taste palate, which makes this girl exciting to drink. The finish is long and pleasant. As a bonus, Josefien offers you a long and pleasant finish so that you can continue enjoying it even after your last sip :)

Detailed Tasting Notes

Wine tasting: 29 May 2020
Appearance
A clear, lemon colored wine with medium- color intensity. Some tears are visible on the glass
Nose
The wine has a clean nose, which holds the middle between youthful and developing. The wine has a very delicate, medium+ aroma intensity of stone fruit, flowers and sweets. A lot of sweetness comes out of that glass! We smell aromas of peach, mango, nectarines, honey and vanilla
Palate
It is a dry wine with a medium level of alcohol (13%) and a medium level of acidity. With a medium+ flavour intensity and medium+ body this wine has a lot of flavours to offer. We taste citrus, stone fruits (lemon, mango, mandarin, vanilla) but with a vegetal nuance, which makes the palate more exciting. The finish is long and pleasant
Quality Assessment
It is a good wine. It is ready to drink now. This wine is intended to drink, not to age. But it has sufficient fruit and acidity to keep it for another year on the shelf. The wine has a beautiful long ending so that you can enjoy it even after your last sip:)
