A very aromatic wine with aromas of forest fruits and oaky and herbaceous characteristics. We taste a very interesting and broad flavor palate with specified flavors of blackcurrant, jammy fruits, prunes, figs, blackberries, juniper, bay leaves and a hint of cinnamon. The wine has a pleasant, long ending. The tasting panel was completely caught off guard. They couldn’t believe they were really tasting a Dutch wine, and not a Zinfandel from Barossa. Is this really Dutch wine? Yes it is! Well done and well made!
A clear, purple colored wine with a deep to opaque color intensity. Some legs are visible on the glass.
The wine has a clean nose, it is still youthfull with a medium+ aroma intensity of forest fruits and oaky and herbaceous characteristics. We smell forest fruit, cedarwood, juniper, bay leaves, pine and eucalyptus.
A dry wine, with medium+ alcohol, medium acidity and medium+ tannins. The wine is medium+ bodied with a medium+ flavor intensity. We taste a broad palate of forest fruits and herbaceous characteristics with specified flavours of blackcurrant, jammy fruits, prunes, figs, blackberries, juniper, bay leaves and a hint of cinnamon. The wine has an ending of medium+ length.
A good to very good wine. You can drink it now but it can improve with ageing. The tasting panel was completely caught off guard: are we drinking Dutch wine or Zinfandel from Barossa? Is this really Dutch wine? Well done and well made!
