TASTING NOTE

Frysling Brûswyn rose 2019

sparkling wine

Our rating

6.5 /10
Brûswyn Rose is very suitable for wine and food, because of its rather savory than sweet character. Besides fruity aromas of raspberries, strawberries and rose hips, we smell grass, nettle and toast. The flavor palate shows citrus, red fruit and vegetal characteristics. The wine is not very pronounced, but it is well put together.

Detailed Tasting Notes

Wine tasting: 8 Feb 2023
Appearance
A clear, orange colored wine with pale intensity and mousse in the glass.
Nose
The wine has a clean, youthful nose, with a medium – aroma intensity with characteristics of vegetables, red fruit and oak ripening and a broad palate of specified aromas: raspberries, unripe strawberries, cocktail cherries, rode hips, grass, nettle, green bell pepper, yeast and toast.
Palate
A dry wine, with medium (+) acidity, medium alcohol, a medium- body and a nice, creamy mousse. The wine has a medium flavor intensity with characteristics of citrus, red fruit and vegetables. We taste a broad flavor palate palate of rhubarb, fresh beetroots, rose hips, cherries, sweet tomatoes, and citrus. The aftertaste is a bit mouth drying with a small tonic bitterness.
Quality Assessment
Because the wine is a bit savory rather than sweet, it is very suitable for wine and food. Smell and taste are fine in the beginning, but weaken a bit in the glass after a while. The wine is not very pronounced, but it is well put together. Good wine, ready to drink now.
