A fruity sparkling wine with a strong creamy mousse. A broad aroma palate with characteristics of yellow and citrus fruits and flowers. A bit more modest but also very fruity flavor palate. The wine has some hard acids, which detracts a bit from the taste. But a good glass!

Sint Catharinadal Blanc de Blancs Brut 2019

Our rating: 7.5/10
A special and striking wine, because it is remarkably non-Dutch. We have never tasted this from Dutch soil before at GD!W. It looks a lot like a Meursault with bubbles! The wood is very pronounced, so that the taste is somewhat unbalanced and the fruit disappears a bit into the background. Combine with smoked salmon or halibut and imagine yourself in Burgundy for a while!

This 100% Chardonnay sparkling wine is fresh, pleasant and has a nice combination of fruity and some vegetal characteristics. Scents and flavors of yellow, tropical and citrus fruit alternate with greener notes of fresh grass and fennel. Well-made and nicely balanced. The taste is strong and holds very well, also a few hours after opening.
